Good morning people who sometimes don’t see the reality of things promised

“Have you ever prayed and believed for something that is promised in God’s Word and it has not come to pass?”

Today’s BIY is very real and it is probably a reality for every person at one time or another.

And so I must encourage us to not give up, but to keep on going and trust the God of the promise.

Hebrews 11:13 NIV All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 

I don’t have an easy answer for you, and clichés are completely unhelpful. But I can’t – I must not – step away from God’s Word or the reality of Who God is and all that He has done and is doing for us.

So, upon the fact that some promises might not be seen on this side of the grave, permit me to ask you:

“Have you made a covenant commitment to God that you will still be living by faith when you die, even if you do not receive the things promised?”

We can do this – together, with God, with each other – we can do this.
