Good morning people who are foreigners and strangers on this earth
Yesterday’s BIY sparked something in me, and that is the truth that our greater home is in heaven.
Father reminded me about this powerful scripture found in the great faith chapter. May He speak to you too.
Hebrews 11:13-16 NIV All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
May we never become so comfortable with this world that we settle for this being our final home; our better home.
May we also never become so disheartened with this world that we think that this is as good as it gets.
Heaven is our home! Absolutely we are to enjoy abundant, joy-filled life IN CHRIST now – YES! YES! YES! – but never forget that we are just passing through this world…heaven is our home!
