Good morning people whose God is Faithful
Deuteronomy 7:9 (GNB) Remember that the LORD your God is the only God and that he is faithful. He will keep his covenant and show his constant love to a thousand generations of those who love him and obey his commands.
Even with our best intentions, all of us have at times let people down. Not so with God.
Maybe you are reading this and a situation comes to your mind where you have felt let down by God; where you have found His faithfulness lacking.
God’s promise of faithfulness is not to our desires and what we want but to His covenant with us. Many times we perceive God has failed in His faithfulness but it is through limited vision that we look. We don’t know best; God does. We don’t see the big picture; God does. God is always faithful to us to fulfil His will for our lives.
In my life, the greater challenge is to allow God’s sovereignty and not to allow my perception cause me to become critical of God and His ways. I keep on coming back to the story in Daniel 3:17-18 where the three Hebrews said “God can, God will but even if He doesn’t, we will not worship anyone but God”.
God’s Word and God’s Will do not change. God is faithful and God can be fully trusted.
“Father I read about your faithfulness in the Word and I accept it in my head but I don’t always feel it. Help me not to be limited to my feelings or to my understanding. Thank you for your faithfulness to keep your covenant with me as I walk in obedience to your Word.”
