Good morning people who bring out the best in others through what they say

Colossians 4:5-6 NIV Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Yesterday we talked about grace-saturated conversations. Let’s continue today.

This passage also tells us to season every conversation with salt. In other words, allow Holy Spirit to bring out the wonderful flavours of who people are by the words that we speak to them and about them.

Our words really are extremely powerful. Life and death really are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

May we all make the most of every opportunity today – not to win an argument or win a deal, but to win a soul into the kingdom of God.

We can’t save anyone – God does that – but we can open the door by the words we speak for God and people to connect.
