Good morning people of prayer
The third weapon of our warfare that is mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds is our prayer.
Proverbs 3:4-5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Prayer is not something we reserve just for our quiet time but is something that needs to be a constant part of our day. Prayer is simply communicating with God; this involves listening and talking.
I believe with all my heart that God is interested in everything we do because He is interested in us. I also believe that God wants us to be specific in our requests. When the blind man cried out “Son of David, have mercy on me” Jesus asked him what he wanted Him to do. Jesus knew and Jesus knows our needs but He wants us to verbalise them and be specific.
Lastly I encourage us all today to listen on the small and seemingly insignificant things. God is often speaking and He wants to know if we are listening. Follow the still small voice of the Holy Spirit today; it is our safety and our defence against the attacks of the enemy.
