Good morning people who never presume to know better than God

Isaiah 40:13-14 NIV Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as His counsellor? Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the right way? Who was it that taught Him knowledge, or showed Him the path of understanding?

I’m increasingly surprised – no, shocked – at the height of arrogance of mankind who presume to somehow know better than our omniscient God.

Mankind is coming up with new ways of doing things that God created with order and pattern, and somehow they feel enlightened.

Mankind goes directly against what God authored, designed and created, and they call it progressive.

I would like to say today: mankind does not know best, and if we ever ‘progress’ in ways that are different to God’s intended design, we actually digress to our own destruction.

And then we blame God for the results.

God knows best. God’s ways are best. And we have the wonderful privilege to know God’s ways as they are clearly spoken of in God’s Word.
