#3386 – Our Frailty

Good morning people who are imperfect while walking with a perfect God

Isaiah 40:6-8 NIV A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

In this passage, I see the frailty of Mankind.

I would like to always be strong and always make wise and godly choices. But I don’t. Even my best is not in and of itself good enough.

“How about you?”

The best of us struggles.

“Did you know that?”

In no way do I want to speak doom and gloom, and portray that it is all hopeless – not at all, because it is not hopeless.

But we need to understand that on this journey of life where we have the privilege of walking with God and towards God, we will not always get it right – and I mean all of us; every person great or small.

This is a healthy place to be, because, it shifts our attention from our works to God’s goodness, faithfulness and kindness.
