Good morning people who don’t boast about things that dishonour God
Isaiah 5:22-23 NIV Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.
What interesting verses, especially to write on in BIY. But again, I feel prompted.
“What do we ‘pride’ ourselves on?”
Sometimes we pride ourselves on the wrong things. Sometime we are heroes and champions of the wrong things.
Some of these things are listed in the verses above, yet there are many more.
Today, I want to flip the focus around.
Today, I want to encourage us to be people who are heroes of, champions of and known for the things that please Father’s heart.
If God loves something, let’s love it too. If Father hates something, let’s hate it too.
I think the apostle Paul summed it up best in the following verse:
Galatians 6:14 NIV May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
