Good morning people of praise
The first weapon of our warfare that is mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds is our praise.
The power of praise is the focus of it. When the challenges of our lives scream for our attention, praise lifts our vision heavenward. Praise takes the focus off ourselves and puts it on God.
Matt Redman in ‘The Unquenchable Worshipper’ says “The heart of God loves the offerings of a persevering worshipper. Though overwhelmed by many troubles, they are even more overwhelmed by the beauty of God.”
I remember when I was young; I was sitting outside a house, at night in the dark, praying for a situation going on inside. It was dark and oppressive and fear started to grip me. I remember singing a song of praise to God. That night my praise overcame the powers of darkness.
When life is tough we can praise our way to wholeness and a breakthrough. Our praise is a powerful weapon today.
