#3331 – Heart and Mouth

Good morning people who believe and who speak about God and His goodness

Romans 10:10 NIV For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Yesterday we talked about believing that Jesus is Lord and that Jesus is alive.

Today I want to lean into the need for our heart and our mouth to be in harmony with each other.

We need to believe in our hearts, but we also need to confess with our mouths.

I want to challenge some of you today. I feel some believe in their hearts, but there is a reluctance and a hesitation to confess what you believe with your mouth.

There can be many reasons for this, including fear, not knowing the right words to say, insecurity, timidity and other reasons. While these may all be ‘realities’, I know there is both power available to speak what we believe, but also power in speaking what we believe. Something happens when we speak truth and put words to our faith. There is creative power in what comes out of our mouths!

So today, I simply encourage you to profess your faith and testify about the goodness of God. Let the right things come out of your mouth – it will do you good!
