Good morning people who believe in a Sovereign and very much alive God

Romans 10:9 NIV If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ – it comes no other way.

In this short verse, I see two things.

Firstly, salvation requires a belief that Jesus is Lord.

In other words, He is supreme in authority. Many religions acknowledge the existence of and even the goodness of Jesus, but they stop short of acknowledging His Sovereignty and Divinity. He is not just a good man, or just a great prophet, or even just the son of God. He is God! He is Divine and He is Eternal. Jesus is Lord!

Secondly, salvation requires a belief that Jesus is alive.

Jesus didn’t just die – He rose again! Jesus didn’t just live for 33 years – He is Eternal! Our God is not just an historical figure – He is the Alpha and the Omega; the Beginning and the End! This is our God!
