Good morning people with a kind word to say
It often doesn’t take a lot to lift someone’s day. It often doesn’t take a lot to cheer up someone with an anxious heart. It often doesn’t take a lot to encourage someone who is discouraged and feeling bad about themselves.
It often just takes a kind word.
Proverbs 12:25 An anxious heart weights a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
I believe with all my heart that there is not enough encouragement in the world today. Our day is full of opportunities, moments where we can say a kind word. There are opportunities at work with our employers and with fellow employees, there’s our family and friends, there’s the shop attendant or the person on the other end of the phone, there’s someone you pass while you’re out walking, there’s the umpire at soccer or netball and the list goes on.
Many times we miss these moments because we are too busy or too focused on ourselves. Many times a kind word has made a difference to our day; we have been blessed when someone else has taken the time to sincerely say something nice and encouraging. We love to receive kind words; let’s ensure we are ones who are liberal and generous in our giving of kind words.
I want to encourage every one of us today to do something about this. I encourage you to say a kind word to at least three people. You might be surprised at how good you end up feeling. Why not do it again tomorrow, and the next day and maybe even the day after that. Let kind words become a part of our everyday conversation. Let’s be known as encouraging people because the world needs more encouragement.
