#3246 – Only a Stick

Good morning people who do not overlook simple things that God uses

Exodus 15:22-25 NIV Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they travelled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. ) So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the LORD issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.

God’s answer to Moses’ prayer for fresh water was to show him a piece of wood.

“Does that sound strange to anyone else?”

Yet God was once again showing us that He can take something natural and use it as part of His supernatural process.

It reminds me of the scripture that says, ‘God uses the foolish things and the weak things…’

I’m also reminded that God can do what He wants, how He wants, when He wants. God is so good!

Don’t miss God’s desire to do something good through you because of the seemingly insignificant ‘thing’ He asks you to use.
