#3074 – Waiting for God

Good morning people who wait for God to do what only God can do

Mark 4:26-29 (NIV) 26 He (Jesus) also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Firstly, our responsibility is to sow seeds.

Secondly, we need to understand and celebrate the truth that God is working even when we are resting and waiting!

When we are sleeping, God is working. When we are waiting, God is working.

The truth is, we don’t know how God really works in people’s hearts and lives, but He does. Sometimes we don’t see anything happening, yet there is movement under the surface – God is working.

Seeds sown will produce fruit, but God will do it in His time and in His way.

“Do you trust God enough to plant seeds and then wait for God to do what He does so well?”
