#3001 – Anchored to Truth

Good morning people who stand solidly on God’s Word and are moved with compassion

Prophetic people anchor themselves to God’s Word, not people’s opinions.

We live in a time of many differing opinions, even in the Church of the Living God. We have many fighting for their rights and trying to win theological arguments. We have many changing their beliefs and exchanging previously held convictions due to people’s very convincing stories.

But prophetic people will not be swayed or deterred by what is around them. No, I am not heartless, and I am not talking about not being ‘moved with compassion’ as Jesus was (Matthew 14:14).

But I am talking about not changing what God’s Word clearly says. This is happening too much in the Body of Christ and it is wrong. It does not help people encounter God, but rather it places before people a form of God that is weakened because it is one side of ‘mercy and truth’ – it is a ‘form’ of mercy but without truth. This is not Jesus’ example to us.

Prophetic people anchor themselves to God’s Word, not people’s opinions.

“How’s your commitment to God’s Word as the absolute authority in your life?”
