Good morning people whose Father is a loving, lavish, giver of gifts

I feel stirred by this today, so let’s lean into it and see what the Holy Spirit says.

God, by His very nature, is a Gift Giver.

And it’s not that He just gives gifts, but that He gives extravagant gifts.

John 3:16 (NIV) For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Because we know the Father sent Jesus to die on the cross for us so that we can be restored to relationship with Him, we can gloss over the extravagance and cost of this precious gift.

The Father gave His Son as a ransom for us! The Son gave His life as a ransom for us! The cost was unquantifiable and incomparable to anything else in all of history!

Thank You Father for Your generosity! Thank You Jesus for Your generosity! May we never take it for granted.
