#2928 – Day after Day

Good morning precious friends of God whom He loves as His own dear children

Hebrews 10:11 (NIV) Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

This scripture was written about the priests of old, yet it so accurately describes how many of us still live and approach God and sin.

“Have you ever found yourself continually trying to pay for your mistakes?”

“Have you ever thought that if you do enough good things, it will wipe out, or at least remove from your memory, the bad things you’ve done?”

I have, many times.

“But where does this get us?”

It doesn’t get us any closer to truly walking in freedom, forgiveness, lightness of spirit and a settled, peace-filled mind.

Our best simply is not good enough. Our continual sacrifices cannot take away our sins. We can’t do it!

“So is there an answer? Is there a way to live completely free of guilt, shame and condemnation?”

Praise God, there is! Let’s look at the next few verses tomorrow and discover more life-giving truth.
