Good morning people who serve a God Whose words never fail

There’s so much I love about the Word of God, and one of those things is the incredibly powerful short simple statements of truth that I can anchor my life on. Here’s one such statement:

Luke 1:37 (NIV) For no word from God will ever fail.

I actually choked up as I thought about this: With my God, no word will ever fail.  

I know for some of you, your mind instantly goes to examples in your life that give evidence that this is not true. I empathize with you about the seemingly impossible situation and the contradiction that you have experienced. I also emphatically state that ‘no word from God will ever fail’.

You might say that the two previous statements are incompatible, but I know they are not. The reason I know this is that I too have “evidence” that would try to convince me that God does not always keep His word. But I know God and I trust Him completely! I have also settled the fact that God’s perfect and pure ways are immeasurably higher than mine. The only lack is in my understanding (and sometimes in my obedience – we might as well be honest).

So in your life today, I say to you, “As you fully submit to God, no word from God will ever fail.” Now that’s good news.
