Good morning people who discern the voice of God

Luke 4:9-11 (NIV) The devil led Him (Jesus) to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. For it is written: “ ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully; they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ”

In this scripture above, the devil quoted scripture to Jesus to try and get Him to give in to temptation.

A scripture coming to your mind does not always mean God is speaking to you. Nor does every word of counsel that includes a Bible verse necessarily mean God is speaking to you. We need to be wise Believers who ‘handle the Word of God correctly’ (2 Timothy 2:15).

We must make sure that we sincerely want to hear what God wants to say more than what we want to hear. We need to be careful we are listening to the right voice, that is, God’s voice.
