Good morning people who keep on walking in the power of the Holy Spirit

2 Peter 1:21 (NIV) For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The gifts of God are exactly that – the gifts of God. There are many gifts but One Spirit Who gives gifts. The Holy Spirit is the Author of the gift that you have.

I feel today’s verse is a simple yet timely reminder to continue using our gifts in the power of the Holy Spirit. If we are not careful, it is very easy to continue using the gifts of God in our own strength and ability. The truth is, the gifts of God can sometimes be thought of as ‘our gifts’. They are not – they are the gifts of God.

All gifts are spiritual if they are done by a follower of Jesus Christ. Let’s not elevate certain gifts over another. Let’s also ensure that all gifts are used for the glory of God, the blessing of people and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
