Good morning people who do not let themselves live in bondage

Galatians 5:1 (NIV) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Many Christians find themselves in a place of bondage; in an unsettled place where fear, worry and anxiety rule. I have been there and it is a horrible place to be.

But I love you enough today to say that I was there because I let myself be burdened by a yoke of slavery. My wrong thinking was the cause of my wrong living. My striving to be holy was making me a slave again. My focus on being perfect was keeping my eyes on myself more than on my Perfect God.

The greatest fuel to be free is to get our eyes off ourselves and on to our loving God. What God has done for us is far greater than the bad things we have done. We honour God most when we fully receive what He has completed for us on the cross.
