Good morning people who move forward in God

A static Christian will become a stale Christian. God intends us to grow up in Him.

“What is the next step of growth God has planned for you?”

Growth means: ‘progress to maturity’.

Maturity means: ‘fully developed’.

Progress means: ‘forward or onward movement towards a destination’.

In other words: Spiritual growth is moving forward to being fully developed in God.

2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV) Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

As an individual: “What is God asking you to start doing or stop doing today?”

As an organisation, business or church: “What is God asking you to start doing or stop doing in this season?”

The Christian life is ‘step by step’, but it is exactly that – step by step. A lack of momentum will eventuate in backwards momentum. In truth, a static Christian will not stay a static Christian, but they will ‘slip’ backwards.

For some of you, I believe God is getting your attention today. I believe He stands before you, lovingly calling you forward towards Him. Your response forward is a step forward and this equates to true growth.

Today it is time for a plan. This is not carnal – this is wisdom and biblical. It’s time to turn your good intentions into strategic action. Make a plan and make yourself accountable – tell someone who will walk with you.

Now is your day to move forward; to grow up in Christ.
