#2334 –Keep Pursuing

Good morning people who desire to know God more and more and more

Psalm 34:10 (NIV) The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

When we think about lions, the picture we see is not normally of a weak and hungry animal. Lions are among the strongest animals alive. They are so powerful, and many times they seem invincible.

Yet lions can grow weak and hungry. Lions can live in lack, and the result can be devastating, even fatal.

But we are given a promise in this precious verse: ‘Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing’.

Oh, how precious and wonderful is our God!!!

You might read this and have questions. That’s understandable. But I have a question for you today:

“Are you going to focus on your questions about this verse, or are you going to embrace it as truth and declare it over your life?”

God’s Word is a promise, but it must be embraced by faith.

The key in this verse is ‘those who seek the Lord’. Notice is doesn’t say ‘those who love the Lord’ or ‘those who have accepted the Lord’.

It is one thing to have made a decision for Christ and even to say that we love Him, but it is another thing entirely to seek Him with all of our heart’ (Jeremiah 29:13). To know God, and want to know Him more, is essential. To pursue God year after year and to still pursue Him as our First Love is true Christianity.

With God, there is always more to discover!
