#2329 –Praise Together

Good morning people who praise God in every season

Psalm 34:1-3 (NIV) I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.

In the context of these verses, David is pretending to be insane in order to save his life. This was a devastatingly difficult time in his life. All circumstances appeared to indicate a lack of concern by God towards him.

But David knew better. David knew God was always faithful to him, and because of this conviction, David praised God.

And here’s where it affects us all today. David not only praised God through his immense challenge, but he invites us to join him in praising God.

This is a sign of men and women of God: they are people who praise God in the storm and invite others to praise God with them.

My friends, our circumstances should never determine our praise. The faithful goodness of God should draw praise out of us daily, because praise is always a choice and it’s always possible.

Come on people of God, praise the Lord with me – let us exalt His name together!

If you want some extremely helpful fuel to draw praise out of you, I highly recommend the new PlanetShakers album ‘This Is Our Time’. It is incredibly prophetic and powerful, and more than anyone else I know, they understand and facilitate praise. Get it – you won’t be disappointed.
