#2247 – Our Expectations

Good morning people who live by the truth of God’s Word

Job 3:25-26 (NIV) What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.

This is a challenging passage.

“How much do our expectations play a part in what happens in our life?”

“Is there a correlation between our expectations and our words?”

As a Believer, our new default should be faith and trust in God. Yet, let’s be honest, it is still too often that we default to fear and doubt. I believe there is a better way; a more God-honouring and life-enhancing way.

The Bible is God’s Word, and God’s Word is filled with incredible promises of His good, perfect and pleasing will for our lives. The Bible shows God’s heart for us, commitment to us, and power through us.

“What would happen if we started to believe that what God said will happen?”

From believing right, we need to speak right. When we declare God’s Word by faith, supernatural things happen. Our words are powerful and they are creative. Our words even have the power to change our feelings and expectations.

“So what do you expect in life?”

Maybe it’s time to expect better things; God things.
