#2241 – Sickness

Good morning people who see sickness as Jesus did

So often our attitude, our view, our opinion of things needs to change. Often we need to get things back into perspective; God’s perspective.

“When we are sick, what is our perspective?”

Sometimes sickness becomes an enemy that seems to loom larger than our God. It is all too easy for sickness to gain the place of supremacy in our vision. Sickness can become the unbeatable giant in our lives or the unwinnable war that we battle. Sometimes sickness can also be that little thing that we easily accept and we tolerate without any resistance.

Before I continue, I do not want to be insensitive to anyone who has battled sickness for a long time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I pray God encourages you today.

But I wonder if we can step back from our reality, from the facts, and look at the truth of God’s infallible Word. I wonder if we need a change of perspective about sickness today.

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

I don’t know why some people aren’t healed when we pray for them, but I do know that Jesus never turned a sick person away. Jesus is the Healer and He healed every person who came to Him. He still heals today.

“Will you dare to believe again that Jesus heals and that He desires to heal you?”

If you need a touch in your physical body, I speak a word of healing to you in Jesus’ Name. “Father, touch Your friends with Your goodness and healing power!”
