#2218 – God of Peace

Good morning people who have the Prince of Peace living in them

Colossians 3:15 (NIV) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

“What rules in your heart?”

We are invited to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. What a privilege! What an honour! What a blessing!

In a world that is changing, our God is unchanging! In a world of no absolutes, God is our Absolute! In a time when fear, anxiety, depression, worry, guilt and condemnation try to rule and try to demand our focus, we are told it is possible to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts! In fact, it’s not just possible, it’s God’s intention, desire and promise to us who believe and walk in the fullness of Who He is!!!

We have been called to peace. We so often look at peace as a feeling in a situation, but today I want to lift our eyes to the truth that peace is God Himself! He is the Prince of Peace! We can walk in peace because Peace lives in us!!!

We are invited to lift up our eyes to the Lord; the One Who sustains us in the easy times and the difficult times. We are invited to think on things above, not things of this earth. We are invited to fix our eyes on the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We are invited to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praise-worthy.

And we are encouraged to be thankful. Peace and thankfulness go together. In fact, I believe thankfulness is often the doorway to walking in peace. Thankfulness for Who God is, results in peace regardless of our situation, because it places our focus on the right place – God Himself; the Prince of Peace.
