Good morning people who are known for their praise and thanksgiving
Nehemiah 12:43 (NIV) And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.
“From how far away can your sound of rejoicing be heard?”
Sometimes I fear our rejoicing can’t be heard because of the frequency and intensity of our complaining. But this is not what the children of God are to be characterised by!
The world should look at us and easily identify us as children of God because of the sound of rejoicing that they have come to expect from God’s family. Praise and songs of thanksgiving should overflow. Testifying about God’s goodness should be our default. Gratitude and joy should be the overflow of our lives.
“So what are you characterised by?”
Many want to experience, feel and enter into the presence of God, and the Bible makes it clear how we are to do this:
Psalm 100:4 (NIV) Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.
“Are you struggling to enter into God’s presence? Well the gate to enter through is called ‘thanksgiving and praise’. Maybe you should try that gate today.”
