Good morning my delightful friends

I want to encourage you to read and listen to the Word of God more than ever before. Worship opens us up to God, and you know me, I LOVE IT!!! But there is something about the Word that cannot be found in worship alone. It’s the Word that cleanses. It’s the Word that reveals truth. It’s the Word that gives God’s perspective on life. It’s the Word that is God’s primary way of speaking. So I want to encourage you today to get into the Word MORE.

On a practical note, we all drive to places. I have found that even in a short distance you can LISTEN to several chapters of the Bible. If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you can easily play it through your car system. You might say, “But I can’t fully concentrate on all that’s being said”. But that’s the beauty of God’s design and plan for His Word – it speaks, washes and goes in, even when you aren’t ‘taking in every word’.

Finally, there is something refreshingly different about listening to large portions of the Word – you get more of a bird’s eye view; an overall perspective of what God is saying. It’s wonderful.

So, let’s be people of the Word of God – the truth you need is contained in God’s precious Word.
