#2183 – Prayer & Vigilance

Good morning people who do whatever it takes to walk in victory

Nehemiah 4:7-9 (NIV) But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry. They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.

Sometimes our enemies and people don’t give up on their attack.

“So what are we to do?”

We need to continue praying and post a guard so as not to give the devil a foothold.

The enemy roams around and seeks whom he may devour…but greater is the One in us than the enemy living in the world! That said, it takes prayer and vigilance to overcome him – both are needed.

“Will you do what it takes to continue walking in victory and freedom?”

“Will you stop hanging out with that person who drags you down, will you delete Facebook and Twitter if you are being distracted, will you turn off the TV if you are being tempted…will you do whatever it takes…or are you enslaved to the easy and convenient?”

“Your enemy won’t easily give up – will you?”
