#2159 – Powerful Praise

Good morning people who bring a sacrifice of praise

Our God is worthy of wholehearted praise…always. Yes, even when things aren’t going well in our lives. Yes, even when the economy is bad. Yes, even when we have questions, doubts and disappointments. Yes, even when the weather’s bad and your plans have been mucked up.

Our God is worthy of wholehearted praise…always.

“But Steve, you don’t know what I’m going through. If you knew how I feel, you wouldn’t say that.”

And that is why the Bible talks about a ‘sacrifice of praise’. If we praise when we feel like it, it is not a sacrifice. But it’s this ‘sacrifice of praise’ when we don’t want to that holds the power for the breakthrough. Bringing a wholehearted and full bodied praise to our great God is one of the spiritual principles that opens heaven’s doors.

Permit me to say that praise is not about personality. I have seen some people who are very quiet and reserved in church be very vocal watching sports or playing games…it’s not a personality issue…it’s a priority and obedience issue.

There is power in your praise…

“Will you step into the arena of praise and use that power?”

Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) …and provide for those who grieve in Zionto bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour.
