#2139 – Our Great God

Good morning people who continually think about The Lord

The longer I walk with God with a primary pursuit of knowing Him, loving Him and listening to Him more, the more peace and delight I feel. I keep on coming back to the truth that the “journey is the destination” with God and me.

Spending time with God is my greatest joy. Sitting in His Word continually results in revelation and delight at Who my God is and how much He is for me. Reading a book by A.W.Tozer, Smith Wigglesworth or Charles Finney stirs my desire to walk in the supernatural power of God every day and to believe for more. Talking with other people about Who God is and what is available to us as people filled with the Holy Spirit inspires me to not settle for the status quo. Listening to men and women of God preach the Word from a kingdom-minded faith perspective enlarges me and continually points me back to our immeasurably good God. Taking a walk with my Father in the cool of the day or when the sun is shining brightly always reminds me how He formed all this beauty of creation for my enjoyment. God is everywhere present all the time, and He is always available to me and desiring to be with me, speak to me, love on me, empower me and walk with me.

I want to encourage you my friends that there is more. If you have Jesus living on the inside, you can’t get more of God – you either have Him in full or you don’t have Him at all. But there is always deeper revelation of Who He is, what He is like, how He works, His plans through you, His plans for you, His plans for the world…there’s always deeper levels of revelation. Our God is without limit.

He is always good, always kind, always loving, always giving, always all-powerful, always creative, always restoring, always revealing, always patient, always empowering…God is always doing something good.

Psalm 100:5 (NIV) For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
