#2115 – Time With God

Good morning people who keep the main thing that main thing

I recently said to a good friend of mine: Studying about God is awesome but spending time with Him is better!

When you read the Bible, remember a good destination is knowing how God says we should live, but a better destination is discovering more about God Himself.

When you read the Bible, remember a great destination is discovering more about God, but the greatest destination is knowing God personally.

For those who are studying in Bible College, that’s awesome, but spending time with God is better! In your journey of discovering God, ensure you don’t neglect God.

For all of us, I simply want to encourage us today to keep the primary destination the primary destination. Knowledge is a means to an end, not an end in itself. Relationship with God is the pinnacle of life. Time with God is an evidence of our relationship with Him.

There will always be ‘To Do’ lists. There will always be problems and challenges. There will even be good distractions…but God’s greatest desire is to spend time with us. Jesus withdrew from the crowds to spend time with His Father. We are invited to do the same.

John 15:5 (NIV) I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.
