Good morning people who serve a relentlessly good God

“If you have a new day, you have another chance.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Jonah had a commission from God and ran the other way. Disaster awaited him in the form of a whale who liked to swallow people for breakfast. Surely this must have been the end? Surely God would look for another person to share the good news with the people of Nineveh? Surely Jonah’s decision to run from God in rebellion was fatal?

NO! Jonah’s decision was not fatal because he changed his position!

I declare to you today that your decisions are not fatal; they are forgivable!!!

The reason we are not destroyed and consumed by the bad choices we make is because of God’s incredibly good and great love! Oh I know you have done some stupid things – join the club! The truth is none of us deserve God’s favour, but that’s not the point. He gives it freely! For some unbelievably good reason, God loves to extend mercy, grace, forgiveness and new life to us every day! God is sooooooo good!

I know you and I don’t see ourselves that way because of our sins, but the Father sees us worth lavishing love on because He sees His Son Who lives in us if we believe! Father also sees His own children when He looks at us, because that is what we are. And He loves us, knowing we will make mistakes and take wrong turns. He is better than you think!

I pray you reach up to Him today, receive what you need, and give yourself permission to walk forward fully forgiven and fully whole. It’s your right as a dearly loved child of God.
