#2040 – Finding Favour

Good morning people who love to bring God pleasure

Luke 1:26-30 (NIV) In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God.

I think the phrase “You have found favour with God” has got to be one of the best statements from God to people in the Bible. I think it is still a statement that God loves to say to those who whole heartedly pursue Him and follow Him today.

It’s great to find favour in the eyes of our employers, parents, coaches and pastors, but oh how infinitely better it is to find favour in the eyes of God!

“Who do you most desire to find favour with this year?”

I believe God still looks across the earth for those who walk blamelessly before Him. I believe He is looking for people He can use to show forth His great power and to accomplish His purposes. I believe God is searching…

…and I believe God sees many who are finding favour in His eyes.

“Will we be one of those this year?”
