#1075 – Forever

Good morning people who follow the eternal God

Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Forever…just a small word but with such an incomprehensibly large reality.

Our God is not finite; He is infinite. Our God is without beginning and without end. Sure that does not make sense to the natural mind, but you know what I’ve said before: the natural mind cannot fully understand the things of God. But our limited perspective doesn’t alter the truth.

God created time and therefore is not bound by or subject to it. And the cool thing about God’s creation of time is that there were a couple of days of creation before the sun and moon were created! Impossible? Yup…but then God’s the God of the impossible!!!!

So in a world of constant change and uncertainty, isn’t it incredibly reassuring to know that our God never changes! Just think about that today.

He is also eternal and that means everything to me. Surely we can come boldly to our God who precedes all. This little word forever gives me such confidence in prayer.

Today, take a moment to think about eternity past…God was there. Think about eternity future…God will still be there. Do you need some stability in your life? God is your answer…and mine…and for the entire human race…forever and ever and ever and ever…
