Good morning people who live for God
Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory…
We do not live to make a name for ourselves; we live for the glory of God. As we pray, let’s pray that God shines through us and that people are attracted to the Christ in us who is the hope of glory. Let’s ask God to help us represent Him well even in those tough moments where we need to deny ourselves in order to do God’s will and see His kingdom come on earth. We really do need God’s help, through prayer and self-denial, to see God elevated to His rightful place.
Do you want that in the world today? I really do. I know that God wants it too.
Therefore I need to align myself continually with His will which is found predominantly in His Word. We should not have an unhealthy focus of constantly checking how we are doing from the starting place of perfectionism. But we should hold up the Word of God as our measuring rod and filter for life. Remember this is about God’s kingdom coming and God’s will being done on earth as it is done in heaven…through us.
Today let’s live with a focus on God; His kingdom, His power and His glory. Let’s make that known throughout the earth and let’s do it all for His Name’s sake.
