Good morning people with a powerful God

Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

I see two things here that we would do well to pray about.

Do not lead us into temptation…

I think we should ask God to help us make wise choices so that we can avoid unnecessary and preventable temptation. Seriously, I don’t think we do this enough. Many times people fall in temptation because they made an unwise choice that put them in the path of temptation. Some temptation is beyond our control, but some of it is avoidable. Be honest with yourself today and ask God to help you make wise choices about what you do and where you go. Then be mature enough to act on what God has said.

Deliver us from the evil one…

But there are times when although you have acted wisely, you are confronted with temptation; we live in a world where temptation is all around. Now Jesus instructs us to pray for deliverance from the evil one. Remember we are in a spiritual battle and there is a war on for our lives. But also remember that GOD IS GREATER and HE IS FAITHFUL and WILL ALWAYS PROVIDE A WAY OF ESCAPE
